Occupational therapy is a significantly important factor regarding the patient's recovery phase, as it helps him regain the skills that he possessed before his injury or illness, to re-educate himself in performing his daily activities, to find out ways on how to retrieve his deficiencies and how to ergonomically re-organize his private or professional space that he lives in. The aim is to ensure that the patient will be self-employed in basic everyday activities such as dressing, feeding and personal hygiene, and also to improve memory, attention, perception and concentration abilities.
Speech Therapy
Speech therapy provides ingestion problems treatment, speech issues solving, understanding and communication problems solving and hand-writing disfunctions treatments.
The speech therapist assesses any kind of difficulty using specialized techniques, makes the diagnosis and then suggests the best possible treatment method. He re-educates the mental functions of association, memory, attention, speech and ingestion.
Speech therapy will bring positive effect on the patients' overall treatment plan as it will ensure their even more active participation in the effort to restore it.
Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy can beneficially result in the rehabilitation of orthopedic, neurological and rheumatic diseases.
The treatment pool is ergonomically designed with adjustable bottom depth levels, equipped with electric lifter, a dual bar, and suitable equipment for in-water exercises.
Invariable water temperature allows the muscles both to relax and strengthen and also helps to make joint pain softer and increase the range of movement without being charged. The tranquillity and relaxation offered by the pool water has impressive effects on the body and soul of the patient.
Physiotherapy
These therapies are covering cases of respiratory, cardiovascular, orthopedic and neurological diseases and disfunctions. Our Center is based in a quiet location, exactly on the 3rd km of the national road between Lamia and Lygaria, easily accessible within just a few minutes from the city of Lamia. The facilities have been created according to the most up to date universal medical standards of modern health care units and are developed in 3 levels of 4.500 m² occupying a total area of 4,5 acres.
The Center is offering treatment to patients suffering from muscular and neural system illnesses, and who are undergoing either initial or chronic stages of diseases that cause movement and self-handling difficulties.
The Center is aiming to offer specialized but also personalized health services through well experienced and highly trained scientific personnel, with constant care and love for the patient’s dignity. First priority for the recovery team is to achieve the best possible physical, social and emotional recovery for the people in need of hospitalization.
With the patient placed in the center of concerns and targeting to personalized medical approach, the unit covers a complete spectrum of needs starting with immediate diagnosis of neoplasia and followed by appropriate curing treatment, detailed observation of the procedure, re-assessments of the progress of the disease and finally the recovery stages.
The multi-scientific team which consists of physiotherapists, pathologists, intensive practitioners, recovery nurses, speech therapists, occupational therapists, dieticians and psychologists, evaluate the patients with kinetic, sensation or learning disabilities in daily basis, while they constantly watch their progress and suggest personalized treatment plans in combination with special medical actions, in order to achieve the best possible recovery.
There are doctors standing by in 24/7 basis in the facilities of the Center, while external co-operative doctors of all specialties are also available for the patients, whenever it is required.

The Artificial Kidney Unit of KLINIKI LAMIAS operates in modern buildings with the aim to cure patients (visiting or hospitalized) who are suffering from chronic kidney failure and need hemocatharsis.

Unit Services
The Artificial Kidney Unit of Kliniki Lamias is using 17 edge technology machines, which can serve in full operation conditions up to 120 patients at the same time. Specially designed seats, are controlled by electronic control system and they are product of deep studies in order to provide both comfort to the patients and quick treatment of urgent cases. Furthermore, thy do allow fast and easy access to patients with mobility issues and dedicated space for their escorts' stay.
Available to every patient is:
Individual oxygen supply.
TV, radio and phone line.
Snack or beverage, meal.
During the session, patients are taken care of by the medical and nursing staff of the unit who should assist in any occurring problem.
The Artificial Kidney Unit also has a Yellow Unit for the cure of HBV patients.
At the same time, special care is taken in order to ensure hygiene condition and make hospitalization o patients completely safe by:
Sterilization of all the machines after every shift.
Daily control and tracking on the system of water processing.
